Everything went according to plan when third ranked Milano (6-1) beat on the road 8th ranked Muggia (3-4) 58-50 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 58-50. Milano forced 27 Muggia turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Michela Frantini (175-83) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 steals. The former international forward Manuela Zanon (187-80) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Alice Palliotto (180-86) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Milano. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Umana Reyer. Loser Muggia dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Milano will face San Salvatore (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muggia will play against Cremona.
