An exciting game was played in Rotterdam. Second ranked Binnenland faced 3rd ranked Grasshoppers. Host Binnenland (5-1) smashed guests from Katwijk (3-3) 86-59. Binnenland outrebounded Grasshoppers 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international forward Leonie Kooij (187-86) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Priscilla Van Andel (185-86) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Binnenland players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Marlous Nieuwveen (196-80) who recorded 13 points and forward Sonja Kuijt (179-93) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Binnenland keeps a position of league leader, which they share with ProBuild Lions. Grasshoppers at the other side keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Den Helder. Binnenland is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lekdetec.nl (#6) in Bemmel in the next round where they are favorite. Grasshoppers will play at home against the league's leader ProBuild Lions in Landsmeer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
