Rather expected game when 5th ranked Bulleen Boomers (3-5) were defeated on the road by third ranked Dandenong Rangers (6-2) 91-77. Bulleen Boomers were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 48-30 second half run of Dandenong Rangers. They also forced 21 Bulleen Boomers turnovers. Strangely Bulleen Boomers outrebounded Dandenong Rangers 49-30 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for the former international Jenna O'Hea (185-87) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. International Kathleen Macleod (167-86) contributed with 25 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. International swingman Tess Madgen (180-90) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Alice Kunek (186-91) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bulleen Boomers. Dandenong Rangers have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Adelaide. Bulleen Boomers at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Dandenong Rangers' next round opponent will be West Coast Waves (#8) in Perth where they are favorite. Bulleen Boomers will play on the road against Townsville Fire and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
