Regular Season Round 8: Arras - Tarbes 47-68

Date: November 10, 2012
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Arras (2-6) was rolled over at home by twelfth ranked Tarbes (2-6) 68-47 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tarbes. Arras managed to win second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Angelica Robinson (197-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and international guard Paoline Salagnac (176-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Tarbes players scored in double figures. American point guard Dawn Evans (170-89, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Johanne Gomis (179-85) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Tarbes moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Aix-en-Provence and Arras. Tarbes will meet at home higher ranked Nantes Reze (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arras will play against Perpignan (#3) and hope to secure a win.
