Regular Season Round 15: Mitsubishi K. - Yamanashi QB 82-38

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 82-38 loss to fourth ranked Mitsubishi K. (10-3) in Nagoya on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Mitsubishi K.. Yamanashi QB managed to win second period 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mitsubishi K. held Yamanashi QB to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.0 percent accuracy of the winners and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Mitsubishi K. outrebounded Yamanashi QB 54-33 including a 29-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Azusa Sato (167-89) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was center Misuzu Sato (180-89) with 12 points and center Emii Fujioka (180-89) scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mitsubishi K.. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M. Yamanashi QB lost their thirteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Mitsubishi K. will again meet bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yamanashi QB will have a break next round.
