The game with biggest result difference took place in Espoo. Local Honka (7-2) outscored 10th ranked TuRi (1-8) 88-67 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Honka. TuRi managed to win fourth quarter 24-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Honka forced 20 TuRi turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Honka made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Jordan Murphree (183-87, college: Texas Tech, agency: Merit Sports) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Honka players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Brittany Hedderson (175-90, college: Buffalo) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Honka maintains second place with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Catz. TuRi lost third consecutive game. TuRi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with HyPo. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
