Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to fourth ranked Mitsubishi K. (11-3) 83-46 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Mitsubishi K. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Yamanashi QB's 30. Mitsubishi K. forced 21 Yamanashi QB turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mitsubishi K. made 7 blocks. The winners were led by international forward Chika Sakuragi (179-91) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) supported her with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Mitsubishi K. players scored in double figures. Mitsubishi K.'s coach Yuuki Yamashita felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by forward Honoka Osanai (168-90) did not help to save the game for Yamanashi QB. Guard Saori Kanehara (164-87) added 10 points for lost side. Mitsubishi K. have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Yamanashi QB still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Mitsubishi K. will meet league's second-placed Fujitsu RW in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yamanashi QB will play against Niigata (#7) in Tokyo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
