Regular Season Round 6: Panasonic T. - Aishin SH 80-84

The biggest surprise of round 6 was guest Aishin Sea Horses' (#2) road victory over Panasonic Trians (#3) 84-80 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 20-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Aishin Sea Horses especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international point guard Shinsuke Kashiwagi (183-81) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks and international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) added 19 points respectively. Five Panasonic Trians players scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-3 record behind leader Toyota Alvark. Panasonic Trians at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Toshiba BT. Aishin Sea Horses are looking forward to face Mitsubishi Dolphins (#6) in Nagoya in the next round. Panasonic Trians will play on the road against Tochigi Brex and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
