Very expected game when 15th ranked Air Avellino (2-5) was smashed by second ranked Banco di Sard. (6-1) in Sassari 102-81 on Sunday. The game without a history. Banco di Sard. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Banco di Sard. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Air Avellino's players. Quite impressive performance for American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Banco di Sard. maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Cimberio VA. Loser Air Avellino dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost.
