Aget Service IM (#13) forced the game against Tuscany Pistoia (#2) into an overtime, but lost by one point 75-76 on Sunday night. The game took place in Imola. But the guests from Pistoia were better at the end. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 18-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 6-5. The best player for the winners was Panamanian swingman Michael Hicks (194-76, college: Texas A&M-CC) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Giacomo Galanda (211-75) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who recorded 27 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international swingman Matteo Maestrello (198-81) added 11 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tuscany Pistoia maintains second position with 5-1 record having just -5 point less than leader Biancoblu BO. Aget Service IM lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with five games lost. Tuscany Pistoia will face Givova Scafati (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Aget Service IM will play against Sigma Barcellona (#6).
