Regular Season Round 11: Iwate Big Bulls - Akita NH 67-86

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Iwate Big Bulls (10-2) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Akita Happinets (7-1) 86-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Iwate Big Bulls. The game was mostly controlled by Akita Happinets. Iwate Big Bulls managed to win third quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Akita Happinets dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Iwate Big Bulls' 28. They outrebounded Iwate Big Bulls 42-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Guard Dion Harris (190-85, college: Michigan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St., agency: Top Notch Sports) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Top Notch Sports) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Top Notch Sports) added 13 points in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akita Happinets maintains third place with 7-1 record having seven points less than leader Okinawa GK. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side still keep top position with two games lost.
