Regular Season Round 7: Stelmet ZG - AZS Koszalin 75-74

The most exciting game of round 7 in the TBL took place in Zielona Gora. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked AZS Koszalin (4-3) to fourth ranked Stelmet ZG (5-2) 75-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS Koszalin. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 24-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Stelmet ZG shot 29 for 40 from the free-throw line, while AZS Koszalin only scored ten points from the stripe. 32 personal fouls committed by AZS Koszalin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. American power forward Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) produced 9 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Stelmet ZG moved-up to third place, which they share with Energa Czarni. AZS Koszalin at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Stelmet ZG is looking forward to face Kotwica (#8) in Kolobrzeg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AZS Koszalin will play at home against the league's second-placed PGE Turow in Zgorzelec and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
