Regular Season Round 7: Udine - Crema 57-77

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Udine (3-4) was crushed at home by fifth ranked TEC-MAR Crema (5-2) 77-57 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 44-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Udine was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points. Power forward Gilda Cerri (185-90) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side forward Arianna Zampieri (183-88) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and center Angela Ratti (185-83) scored 5 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for TEC-MAR Crema. They moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Marghera. Loser Udine keeps the seventh position with four games lost. TEC-MAR Crema will face league's leader San Martino in San Martino di L in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Udine will play at home against Virtus Cagliari (#14).
