Regular Season Round 10: Sodertalje - Boras 83-94
Date: November 11, 2012
Very significant was Boras Basket's (#2) 94-83 road victory against much higher ranked Sodertalje Kings. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. Sodertalje Kings was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boras Basket made 28-of-30 charity shots (93.3 percent) during the game. Sodertalje Kings were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Michael Palm (209-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) supported him with 21 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) did not help to save the game for Sodertalje Kings. International point guard Tobias Borg (183-93) added 21 points for lost side. Sodertalje Kings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boras Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sundsvall. Sodertalje Kings at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. Boras Basket will play against bottom-ranked Nassjo (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sodertalje Kings will have a break next round.
