Round 7 most important game was a victory of Montepaschi Siena over 4th placed Lottomatica Roma 81-70 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lottomatica Roma. The game was mostly controlled by Montepaschi Siena. Lottomatica Roma managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Lottomatica Roma helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 assists. His fellow American import forward David Moss (196-83, college: Indiana St., agency: SportsTalent) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Montepaschi Siena's coach Luca Banchi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Nigerian power forward Gani Lawal (205-88, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and international forward Luigi Datome (203-87) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) in the effort for Lottomatica Roma. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion (5-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Cantu. Lottomatica Roma at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Trenkwalder RE and SAIE3 BO. Montepaschi Siena is looking forward to face Juvecaserta (#11) in Caserta in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lottomatica Roma will play on the road against Umana Venezia (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
