We should mention about the upset which took place in Yixing, where 7th ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (2-4) lost to tenth ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (3-3) in a road game 69-79. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu Phoenix. Heilongjiang Chenneng was better in second period 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu Phoenix players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American center Krystal Thomas (195-89, college: Duke) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 21 rebounds to lead the effort and international point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) supported her with 25 points and 6 assists. Four Jiangsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. Even 31 points by the former international guard YanYan Ji (182-85) did not help to save the game for Heilongjiang Chenneng. American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) added 16 points and 11 rebounds. Jiangsu Phoenix moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Heilongjiang Chenneng at the other side dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix's next round opponent will be Beijing Great Wall (#10) on the road where they are favorite. Heilongjiang Chenneng will play against Shanghai Octopus.
