The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Capers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Capers defeated 5th ranked X-Men in Sydney, NS 88-83. Capers forced 19 X-Men turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Forward Sean Mccormick (196) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jeremy Dunn (196) replied with 32 points and guard Terry Thomas (193) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for X-Men. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Capers have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. X-Men at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 8 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
