Regular Season Round 8: Svit - Levice 65-69
Date: November 14, 2012
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Levice (5-2) beat on the road bottom-ranked Svit (1-7) 69-65. It looked good early as Svit took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Levice had a 18-15 second period charge getting the lead and Svit was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-69. Levice made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Jaroslav Moravek (200-92) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 12 rebounds and international swingman Martin Sykora (192-81) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Levice's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Curtis Allen (193-86, college: ORU, agency: TSS Management) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Australian guard Anthony Stewart (196-70) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Levice have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Svit lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Levice will play against league's second-placed Inter Bratislava at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Svit will play against Nitra (#4) in Nitra to get more than just one victory in their record.
