Second Stage Round 3: Obras - Union Progr. 70-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked Union Progresista's (6-9) road victory over 14th ranked Obras (4-11) 75-70 on Friday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-70. It was a great evening for British-American forward Darren Phillip (201-78, college: Fairfield) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Adrian Moss (203-81, college: Florida) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jason Forte (196-84, college: S.Mississippi) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Ryan Humphrey (203-79, college: Notre Dame) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Union Progresista moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Boca Jrs. Obras lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Union Progresista will face Boca Juniors (#12) in Buenos Aires in the next round. Obras will play at home against La Union in Formosa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
