No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Leche Rio Breogan (4-3) beat on the road 13th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (1-6) 64-57 on Friday. Melilla Baloncesto was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-12 charge of Leche Rio Breogan, which allowed them to win the game. Quite impressive performance for American guard Anthony Winchester (193-83, college: W.Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Lithuanian guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Leche Rio Breogan's coach Pepe Rodriguez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. German power forward Kiril Wachsmann (203-83, college: Iona, agency: Edge Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Jose Antonio Marco (180-89) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Melilla Baloncesto. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to sixth place, which they share with FCB Regal II. Melilla Baloncesto lost their sixth game in a row. Loser Melilla Baloncesto dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face bottom-ranked Ourense (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
