Regular Season Round 6: BrGU - Victoria 71-85

Bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-71 loss to sixth ranked Victoria-UOR (2-5) in Brest. The guests were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 28-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Victoria-UOR forced 22 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers. It was a good game for Nina Salauyova (182-89) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Ksenija Voishal (182-94) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Victoria-UOR's coach Valentina Navoichyk allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Veranika Adamik (181-90) replied with 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Natalia Rusak (180-84) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for BrGU COR Victoria. Five Victoria-UOR and four BrGU COR Victoria players scored in double figures. Victoria-UOR moved-up to fifth place. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Victoria-UOR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BrGU COR Victoria will play at home against Sozh Gomel (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
