Regular Season Round 12: Okinawa GK - Oita H.Devils 85-82

The most exciting game of round 12 in the BJ League took place in Okinawa. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Oita Heat Devils (8-3) to top-ranked Okinawa GK (9-0) 85-82 in the game for the first place. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV, agency: Top Notch Sports) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Oita Heat Devils' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Okinawa GK have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Oita Heat Devils at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Okinawa GK are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Oita Heat Devils at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oita Heat Devils will have a break next round.
