No shocking result in a game when third ranked Panasonic Trians (9-5) beat on the road 7th ranked Tochigi Brex (3-11) 80-72 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 26-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Quite impressive performance for international guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Swedish Christian Maraker (206-82, college: Pacific) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Panasonic Trians players scored in double figures. International guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) answered with 22 points and the former international swingman Ken Takeda (188-78) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Tochigi Brex. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Panasonic Trians maintains third place with 9-5 record having just three points less than leader Toyota Alvark. Loser Tochigi Brex keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Panasonic Trians' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Osaka to the arena Hitachi Sunrockers.
