The game had a very big importance for third-ranked CB Guadalajara as it allowed them to take a leadership position. CB Guadalajara defeated 8th ranked Palma at home 75-66. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-17 Palma's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 75-66 at the end of the game. CB Guadalajara forced 22 Palma turnovers. Point guard Sergio Llorente (188-90) scored 13 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) chipped in 16 points during the contest.
