Regular Season Round 5: STU Tbilisi - MIA Academy 56-73

Superleague top team - MIA (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked STU (0-5) in Tbilisi 73-56. The game without a history. MIA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 24 STU turnovers. International center Beka Bekauri (207-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. International Besik Lezhava (192-86) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Vaja Janashia (203-93, college: High School) answered with 21 points and forward Giorgi Pirvelashvili (201-88) added 18 points in the effort for STU. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MIA have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. STU at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. MIA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Armia.
