Very predictable result when fourth ranked Halcones Rojos (19-5) won against on the road 12th ranked Guerreros (7-17) 86-69. The game was mostly controlled by Halcones Rojos. Guerreros was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Guerreros 37-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Noe Alonzo (200-83, college: Grand Canyon) who scored 22 points. American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: G.Washington) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Keith Gayden (202-83, college: Duquesne) who recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican power forward Angel Alamo (206-85) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Halcones Rojos have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Toros. Newly promoted Guerreros keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Halcones Rojos' next round opponent will be Fuerza Regia (#7) in Monterrey. Guerreros will play on the road against Abejas (#8) in Guanajuato.
