Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Sokol Lancut (5-4) defeated at home 12th ranked WIKANA Start (3-6) 76-72. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. WIKANA Start was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. 26 personal fouls committed by WIKANA Start helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Michal Baran (185-80) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Center Kamil Gawrzydek (210-87, college: Idaho St.) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Marcel Wilczek (204-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Tomasz Celej (198-78, agency: Promotex) added 24 points in the effort for WIKANA Start. Sokol Lancut moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Polonia and P.Cukier SIDEn. WIKANA Start at the other side dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Sokol Lancut will have a break next round. WIKANA Start will play at home against MKS DG (#4) in Dabrowa Gornicza.
