Everything went according to plan when first ranked Le Mans (6-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked JDA Dijon (3-4) 67-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Le Mans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Le Mans outrebounded JDA Dijon 36-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Brazilian power forward Joao Paulo Batista (207-81, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 8 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Cuthbert Victor (197-83, college: Murray St.) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Center Ferdinand Prenom (205-91) answered with 11 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jeremy Leloup (202-87) added 5 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for JDA Dijon. Le Mans have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. JDA Dijon at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. Le Mans will face Chalon/Saor (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. JDA Dijon will play against Sluc Nancy (#14).
