Regular Season Round 6: Gospic - Zadar 83-44

The most important game in the last round took place in Gospic between third ranked KK Zadar (4-2) and fourth ranked Gospic (4-1) on Saturday night. KK Zadar was crushed by Gospic on the road 83-44. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KK Zadar. The game without a history. Gospic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KK Zadar's 24. They outrebounded KK Zadar 23-9. The best player for the winners was the former international center Josipa Bura (185-85) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Monika Bosilj (178-85, college: FIU) chipped in 18 points. Four Gospic players scored in double figures. Gospic's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Antonia Erslan (180-88) who recorded 16 points and Marta Erslan (178-96) added 8 points respectively. Gospic have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. KK Zadar at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Medvescak. Gospic are looking forward to face Ragusa (#8) in Dubrovnik in the next round where they are favorite. KK Zadar will play at home against the league's second-placed Lupa Promotion (#2) in Novi Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
