Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-73 loss to seventh ranked Angers BC 49 (4-3) in Paris on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-73. Center Maxime Chupin (205-89, college: Cal-Irvine) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American forward Anthony Hill (204-88, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Angers BC 49 players scored in double figures. Angers BC 49's coach Vincent Lavandier allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Damien Inglis (203-95) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Paul Rigot (201-95) scored 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field).
