Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Castelletto (7-3) beat at home 14th ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (3-6) 76-70 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Naturhouse Ferrara was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Castelletto, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Forward Alex Ranuzzi (195-86, agency: Interperformances) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Francesco Ihedioha (196-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four Castelletto players scored in double figures. Power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Simone Cortesi (196-86) added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Castelletto have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Agrigento. Naturhouse Ferrara lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Casalpusterlengo. Castelletto will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Naturhouse Ferrara will play against Omegna (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
