Undefeated leader JX Sunflowers delivered the sixteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Hitachi Cougars (4-12) 106-58 in Hitachinaka. The game without a history. JX Sunflowers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 32. They outrebounded Hitachi Cougars 49-22 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. JX Sunflowers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hitachi Cougars' players. It was a good game for the former international power forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four JX Sunflowers players scored in double figures. JX Sunflowers' coach Kiyomi Sato felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest.
