Jarvenpaa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Jarvenpaa outrebounded Espoo Basket 50-37 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Gambian power forward Pierre Jallow (203-79, college: William Jewell) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Jesse Viita (186-93) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Jarvenpaa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Dominican forward Jose Domingues Del Villar (195-84, college: Brewton Parker) who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Oscar Andersen (195-93) added 17 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Jarvenpaa maintains sixth place in Division with 4-5 record. Espoo Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Jarvenpaa will face BC Jyvaskyla (#8) on the road in the next round. Espoo Basket will play against JyWe in Jyvaskyla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
