There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-6) defeated on the road 4th placed Shimane Magic (7-5) 75-65. Shimane Magic was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 47-33 second half run of Shiga L-Stars. American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin, agency: Top Notch Sports) nailed 23 points for the winning side and Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Edward Yamamoto (173-86) came up with 16 points and American Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Shimane Magic in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shiga L-Stars. They maintain sixth place with 6-6 record. Shimane Magic at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost.
