Regular Season Round 10: Lucca - Casalpusterlengo 80-74

Date: November 18, 2012
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Lucca (6-3) won against at home 13th ranked Casalpusterlengo (3-6) 80-74 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 43-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Lucca forced 20 Casalpusterlengo turnovers. Point guard Davide Parente (188-83) fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Riccardo Casagrande (196-88, agency: Two Points) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Lucca players scored in double figures. Guard Roberto Prandin (188-86, agency: Two Points) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Gianpaolo Ricci (200-91) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lucca moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Firenze. Casalpusterlengo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Ferrara. Lucca will meet Recanati (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Casalpusterlengo will play against Treviglio and hope to secure a win.
