Very expected game when 15th ranked Latina Basket (3-7) was defeated at home by second ranked Matera (8-2) 62-55 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 35-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Matera dominated on the defensive end, holding Latina Basket to just 6 points in first quarter. Point guard Carlo Cantone (187-85) fired 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) for the winners.
