Regular Season Round 9: JyWe - Kerava ET 77-82

An interesting game was played in Jyvaskyla where Kerava Energia Team (#4) beat host JyWe (#3) 82-77 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the second position in Division. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Kerava Energia Team outrebounded JyWe 42-26 including 18 on the offensive glass. Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Cameroonian power forward Rudolf Mua (201-80) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Kerava Energia Team's coach Arsene Towa used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Ville Pyykkonen (203-77) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Joni Hautsalo (175-91) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kerava Energia Team (6-3) moved-up to second place in Division. JyWe at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Kerava Energia Team will meet at home HBA-Marsky (#4) in the next round. JyWe's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Jyvaskyla BC Jyvaskyla.
