The game between fourth ranked Toros (19-5) and 11th ranked Correcaminos (8-16) in Nuevo Laredo ended with biggest points difference. Toros outscored guests from Ciudad Victoria 95-68. The game without a history. Toros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 34. They outrebounded Correcaminos 43-30 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian forward Ike Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. The former international forward Jesus Lopez (205-83, college: SW Baptist) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Toros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was James Dartez who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Joseph Hutchingson Mejia (196, college: Lincoln, MO) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros moved-up to third place, which they share with Halc.Rojos. Correcaminos at the other side keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Toros' next round opponent will be league's leader Halcones UV Xalapa on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Correcaminos will play against Osos (#14).
