Regular Season Round 10: CCC Polkowice - Wisla Can-Pak 56-49

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Wisla Can-Pak (7-1) on the court of top-ranked CCC Polkowice. Visitors were defeated by CCC Polkowice 56-49. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Wisla Can-Pak. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 6-0 record before this meeting. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Russian guard Valeriya Musina (183-87, college: Lee) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Hungarian center Dora Horti (193-87, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Wisla Can-Pak. CCC Polkowice (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Artego Bydg. Defending champion Wisla Can-Pak dropped to the third place with one game lost. CCC Polkowice will play against Lider Pruszkow (#5) on the road in the next round. Wisla Can-Pak will play against AZS Rzeszow and hopes to get back on the winning track.
