Regular Season Round 6: Familia Schio - Faenza 73-54
Date: November 18, 2012
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Familia Schio (4-1) crushed at home 10th ranked CA Romagna (1-5) 73-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Familia Schio. CA Romagna managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. French center Elodie Godin (191-85) notched 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international forward Raffaella Masciadri (188-80) supported her with 16 points. Familia Schio's coach Maurizio Lasi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Kristen McCarthy (182-90, college: Temple) did not help to save the game for CA Romagna. The former international center Kathrin Ress (196-85, college: Boston Coll.) added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Familia Schio have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. CA Romagna at the other side keeps the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Priolo. Familia Schio will meet Umbertide (#4) on the road in the next round. CA Romagna will play against Priolo (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
