Regular Season Round 7: Chalon - Cholet 99-95

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Chalon/Saor and 4th placed Cholet had identical 4-2 record. This time Chalon/Saor used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Cholet 99-95 on Sunday night. Cholet was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 30-25 charge of Chalon/Saor, which allowed them to win the game. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Chalon/Saor looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Blake Schilb (200-83, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Terrell Everett (193-84, college: Oklahoma) answered with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Marcus Goree (201-77, college: W.Virginia) added 22 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cholet. Four Chalon/Saor and five Cholet players scored in double figures. Defending champion (5-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with ASVEL. Cholet at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Chalon/Saor will face league's leader Le Mans on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cholet will play against Boulazac Basket.
