No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Brahe Basket (6-2) beat 7th ranked Jarfalla (3-4) in Huskvarna 85-69 on Sunday. The game without a history. Brahe Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Matthew Cavalieri (198-89, college: Springfield) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Guard Tanju Yulman (186-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Cavalieri is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Jean Alix (200-79) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and center Leonard Halling (200-92) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Jarfalla. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brahe Basket moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Malbas and Haga Haninge. Newly promoted Jarfalla dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Brahe Basket will face Helsingborg (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jarfalla will play against Talje Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
