Regular Season Round 9: Acadia - Memorial 72-61

Everything went according to plan when leader Acadia (4-0) defeated 7th ranked Memorial (1-5) in Wolfville 72-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Acadia. Memorial was better in third quarter 24-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Kristy Moore (170) who led her team to a victory with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Lindsay Harris (178) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Grace Fishbein (180-90) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and guard Emily Jameson (178-91) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Memorial. Memorial's coach Doug Partridge rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Acadia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record, which they share with 4 other teams. Memorial lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Acadia will face UPEI (#6) in Charlottetown in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
