Regular Season Round 7: TTU - Tln Kalev 85-76

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: TTU (#6) and Tln Kalev (#8). TTU (3-4) won against visiting Tln Kalev (1-9) 85-76. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-18. But Tln Kalev won third quarter 24-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kiur Akenparg (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Kristjan Makke (205-81, college: W.Illinois) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five TTU players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206, college: Boise St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American-Italian guard Marc Campbell (180-86, college: N.Carolina) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tln Kalev. TTU maintains sixth place with 3-4 record. Tln Kalev lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. TTU are looking forward to face Hito/Johvi (#8) at home in the next round. Tln Kalev will have a break next round.
