Regular Season Round 11: Bari - Mirandola 65-71

We should mention about the upset which took place in Bari, where higher ranked Bari (5-5) lost at home to seventeenth ranked Mirandola (3-8) 65-71 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Mirandola forced 19 Bari turnovers. It was a great evening for center Alessandro Mancin (208-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). point guard Jordan Losi (182-80, agency: Two Points) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Mirandola's coach Antonio Tinti used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81) scored 17 points. Mirandola moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Latina Basket. Bari at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Mirandola will meet at home higher ranked Casalpusterlengo (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bari will play against Reggio Calabr. in Reggio Calabria and hope to secure a win.
