Regular Season Round 7: Kalev/Cramo - Tarvas 69-95

KML top team - BC Rakvere (8-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Kalev/Cramo (6-5) in Tallinn 95-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kalev/Cramo. Kalev/Cramo was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 57-27 second half run of BC Rakvere. It was a great evening for Latvian forward Maris Laksa (205-81, college: Providence) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Renato Lindmets (200-84, college: Westfield St.) helped adding 22 points and 13 rebounds. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. BC Rakvere's coach Andreas Sober felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Rait Keerles (201-80) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) scored 15 points. BC Rakvere have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory BC Rakvere went down to second position due to points difference. Defending champion Kalev/Cramo dropped to the third place with five games lost. BC Rakvere will play against TTU (#6) in Tallinn in the next round. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round.
