Regular Season Round 10: Cape Breton - St.Mary's 90-86

Rather expected game in Sydney, NS where 5th ranked Huskies (2-3) were defeated by top-ranked Capers (4-0) 90-86 on Friday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-16. But Huskies won second period 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capers made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Shaquille Keith (196) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Jordan Lee (193-90, college: St.Francis, IL) responded with 28 points and forward Kevin Thomas (203-93, college: Fairfield) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Capers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-0 record having five point less than leader Ryerson. Huskies lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with three games lost. Capers will face Tigers (#7) in Halifax, NS in the next round where they are favorite.
