Regular Season Round 10: York - Laurier 94-96

A very interesting game took place in Toronto, ON. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Lions (2-3) to fourth ranked Golden Hawks (2-2) 96-94 on Friday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Lions won third quarter 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Maxwell Allin (193) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Jamar Forde (190) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Forward Daniel Tulloch (196) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and guard David Tyndale (180) added 18 points in the effort for Lions. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Golden Hawks moved-up to second place. Lions at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Golden Hawks' next round opponent will be Voyageurs (#3) in Sudbury, ON, which may be the game of the day. Lions will play at home against Warriors in Waterloo, ON.
