Date: November 23, 2012
Very expected game when 16th ranked Denain Voltaire (3-8) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Le Portel (8-3) 90-74 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-74. It was a great evening for American forward Darnell Wilson (198-85, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Guyanese Armand Charles (193-83) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Le Portel players scored in double figures. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Antibes. Denain Voltaire at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Le Portel will face SPO Rouen (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Denain Voltaire will play against Saint Vallier.
