Regular Season Round 8: Tarvas - TTU 76-61

Date: November 23, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked TTU (5-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked BC Rakvere (9-4) 76-61 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. TTU managed to win fourth quarter 21-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TTU 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American forward Renato Lindmets (200-84, college: Westfield St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Reimo Tamm (185-84) who added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. BC Rakvere's coach Andreas Sober used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Andrew Arnold (208-86, college: Lewis-Clark St.) responded with 11 points and international forward Erik Keedus (198-90) scored 8 points and 4 assists. BC Rakvere have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-4 record behind leader TU/Rock. Loser TTU dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Valga.
